We’re at it again, improving and updating our mobile apps! We’ve added a bunch of new effects: Paint Mode, Red Eye Reduction, Teeth Whitener, Blemish Remover, Flash Spot Remover, Eye Color Changer, Blush, Bronzer, Lipstick, and Wrinkle Remover. We’ve also made it possible for you to upload your photos directly to Instagram, and Android users get the added feature of importing photos to BeFunky right from your Photo Gallery. Wow. That’s a lot! Update/install BeFunky if you haven’t already…

Most of our new effects are pretty self explanatory, so I’m going to focus on showing you our pride and joy… Paint Mode. We’ve added this option to most our filters (it doesn’t apply to some of the pop art filters). Here’s an example of what you can do with Paint Mode:

Here, I’ve selected a black and white filter

And then I tapped the paint brush icon and painted in the original color of the raspberry.

See how easy that was!!

Here’s a breakdown of the settings in Paint Mode. To access Paint Mode, choose a filter, then tap the paint brush icon that appears just under your photo. You have two options on how you want to paint, you can paint the effect in or you can apply the effect and paint in the original (this is what I did for the above example). To switch between these two options, tap the button with the two squares.

Along with the options to Paint or Erase, you can choose your Brush Size (how much area you paint), Intensity (how much of the effect you want on the photo), and Strength (how much feathering you want on your paintbrush).

For those of us (especially me!) with fat fingers we’ve made it so you can pinch zoom to get as much detail as you want! To move around in the photo use two fingers to touch and drag.

Many of these settings work the same with our other new effects which I’ll be showcasing in the very near future… Before I wrap this up, there’s one mor e addition I want to introduce you to: share directly to Instagram. From the save panel, just tap the share button next to the Instagram option and you’ll be prompted to open Instagram and then BAM! your photo is right there, waiting for you to upload.

We’ve added quite a bit with this update, if you ever have any questions, just ask, I’m happy to help you!!
